Support your local community, family, friends and 10 charities while you improve your physical, mental and social wellbeing.

DONATE NOW via INDIEGOGO

For the past 12 months I’ve been helping on a really exciting project with Jōbu, a physical activity booking app that uses leading behavioural science research to help users improve physical, mental and social wellbeing for themselves and their local community. Whenever you train through the app you also raise money for your 2 chosen charities from a list of 10. Jōbu then gives 25% annual profits back to the charities.

The Jōbu app, FREE to download with no membership/subscription/booking costs (the trainers are charged a fee but this is far smaller than other fitness apps), aims on bringing people together outdoors in small friendly training groups that improves mental wellbeing, while adding positively to local communities at home and work (see attached pdf for more details of Jōbu and The Times ‘Best Companies’ www.b.co.uk).

The advantage to FSF being a key contributor to the app design has been that many ideas for improving FSF’s services have built into the app, including:

  • Simple to invite up to 6 friends and/or new connections (5 additional people with a similar profile to your own also receive the session invite) to your own private session or to join you at a regular FSF class

  • Lead organiser can choose to pay for all of, or share, the session costs Uber style through the app etc

  • More weekly classes/session times to choose from & all available clearly on your mobile

  • Peak/non peak rates

  • FREE BAM 'Bring a Mate’ sessions for everyone

But having raised over £100k privately (there’s no private equity firms involved) Jōbu now need to crowd fund the final £48k via INDIEGOGO to finish the app for March 2020 launch.

SO HOW CAN YOU HELP? JUST £20 (OR MORE?!) IN 2020 COULD MAKE THIS EXCITING APP AVAILABLE TO HELP EVERYONE, ANYWHERE, GET MORE ACTIVE

Jōbu is a member of Social Enterprise UK, UKactive and has been working with national and local government on inclusivity, and large corporates to engage employees. Jōbu has a select group of trainers ready to go (FSF will be the main launch partner in the Richmond area) who support improvement in physical, mental and social wellbeing. This includes additional charity credits for training outdoors as this part of the wellbeing aspect the research has identified as critical.

If you're interested in supporting us to make a difference then please check out the Jōbu crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo https://igg.me/at/V-fLYtHFWyo/x/22749834#/ and if you would like to support Jōbu and their refreshing contribution to society, please;

  1. Select a ‘perk’ (If the target is not met then the contribution is refunded at the end of the campaign, 21st January 2020).

  1. Share with everyone who might have an interest in helping make a social impact.

FINALLY…AN EXTRA FSF CLIENT PERK!

The size of donation is less important than the total number of people who donate and then share via social media. So to help encourage you to invest JUST £20 (or more) in this exciting project, I’ve created an additional one of our own. I’m offering the first 6 FSF clients who donate a:

  • FREE 1 x 1 HOUR SMALL GROUP PT SESSION (to be booked before 31st March 2020 at a date/time/location to be agreed with the first 6 ‘perkists’)

Thanks and see you soon!
